Some years back, when I determined to take on the responsibility of the Emirates Environmental Technology (EET) endeavor, I knew in the back of my mind that I will be facing here a special mission to accomplish, rather than a traditional business to run.
In fact, if we take a look at today’s modern, globalized and fast moving world, we will not fail to notice the remarkable scientific and technological progress we have achieved so far; however, we have to admit the tremendous environmental threats we are facing in parallel: chemical and industrial pollution, global warming, new diseases, scarce resources, etc…
Safeguarding the environment is a collective responsibility that requires awareness and action at both the individual and corporate levels. Our share of involvement at EET is in recycling and transforming the solid waste into agricultural and industrial goods. This process is an economy booster, an energy saver, an environment savior, and a raw material compensator and gap filler. Recovering resources is the best gift we can offer to the world today and to the coming generations tomorrow.
Perhaps the best words that express our mission and vision at EET are beautifully said in the following native American proverb:”we do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.” A legacy to be proud of is our commitment to our nation and children, and continuous improvement for a better sustainable future of our environment and resources is our dedication and duty towards the world.
